Throughout Tampa Bay, thousands of volunteers give countless hours of their time to help others. MORE-TV32 and Volunteers of America of Florida will recognize two outstanding volunteers each month who give of their time assisting with the agency's programs and services for people with mental illness, the elderly and homeless veterans.

On-air and on the web, MORE-TV32 will salute the efforts, ideas and hard work that make Tampa Bay a better place for everyone.

Dottie McKissac Deanna Rose Clark

Dottie volunteers at the Volunteers of America of Florida office staff in Ybor City.

"I wanted to become involved in the community as a volunteer. In my background I had worked with contracts and grants and am able to work with the grant writing team, filing, copying and web research. I enjoy going in to volunteer. Everybody has been so gracious and makes me feel appreciated. I enjoy volunteering knowing that the agency is doing a lot of good in Tampa and around the state for folks with mental illness, elderly and veterans who have earned and really deserve our attention."

Deanna is improving her life and polishing up on computer skills at the agency's new computer center in Ybor City. When she saw a chance to be a part of the team she jumpd at it. Deanna copies, sorts, files and takes on any task thrown her way, whatever and wherever she can help she does!
