Florida's Harvin Undergoes Surgery

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Florida wide receiver Percy Harvin underwent surgery on his right heel on Monday night.

The surgery, performed by foot and ankle specialist Dr. Robert Anderson at the Orthocarolina Orthopedic Clinic, corrected a chronic right heel problem. The junior wideout is expected to recover fully in time for pre- season practice in August.

The all-time rushing leader for a receiver in Florida history, with 1,192 yards gained on the ground, Harvin has also hauled in 93 catches for 1,285 yards during his career. A 5-foot-11, 181-pounder from Virginia Beach, Virginia, Harvin has 15 touchdowns in 24 career games for the Gators.
