Lightning D Ranger Undergoes Shoulder Surgery

Tampa, FL -- (Sports Network) - Lightning defenseman Paul Ranger underwent successful shoulder surgery this week.

Dr. James Andrews performed the arthroscopic surgery to repair the labrum in Ranger's right shoulder at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Andrews performed a similar procedure on Tampa center Vincent Lecavalier last week.

Ranger tallied 10 goals and 21 assists in 72 games for the Lightning last season, for a career-high 31 points.
